Stoney Joe play big, swaggering western music and creamy, cool country that’ll get your feet tapping and pull on your heartstrings in the wink of an eye.
If Stoney Joe's boutique brand of folk music were a movie, it would sit somewhere between a dark Sergio Leone western and the swaggering lyrical pleasure of the Cohen Brothers' "O Brother, Where Art Thou?". A Stoney Joe performance is a rare treat. 4-part vocal harmonies and a dizzying array of instrumentation make for an energetic and theatrical live show featuring ocarinas, spoons, rhythm bones, wobbleboard and a vintage 1980's synthesizer alongside traditional folk instrumentation.
Stoney Joe has three full-length albums under their hats, Brown Bread and Rice (2012), Hot Jerky (2014) and Fuel for the Fire (2016) through Head Records. The band is currently working on new material while continuing to surprise fans by live-streaming selected rehearsals (including the writing process) on Youtube, Facebook and Twitch. Don't miss an opportunity see Stoney Joe in the flesh!
